Responsibilities:

Translate business goals, merchant needs, and research insights into clear product requirements and user stories, ensuring the product delivers value to the user.

Support the Product Manager in managing and executing the product roadmap and feature backlog, with clear prioritization based on merchant impact, business goals, and technical constraints.

Work closely with Engineering, Customer Support, and Marketing teams to ensure features are well-scoped, validated, and delivered with quality.

Continuously collect, synthesize, and act on merchant feedback (support tickets, reviews, interviews, data) to improve usability and product value.

Make confident product decisions on scope, trade-offs, and priorities — even with incomplete or imperfect data.
-
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and agile ceremonies, ensuring clarity, alignment, and transparency across teams.

Define and track product success metrics (activation, adoption, retention, performance) in collaboration with data and engineering teams.
-
Stay up to date with Shopify ecosystem trends, merchant behaviors, and advertising/feed best practices to inform both short-term execution and long-term strategy.
Requirements:
Must have:
-
At least 1 year of experience as a Product Owner/ Product Manager/ Business Analyst working within the Shopify ecosystem (apps, themes, agencies, or merchants).

Strong customer-centric mindset, able to navigate ambiguity and make fast, thoughtful trade-offs.
-
Experience working with user requirements, user stories, and user experience.
-
Hands-on experience with wireframing/prototyping tools (Figma, Axure, Balsamiq, InVision, etc.).
-
Good communication skills; able to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
-
Practical experience working with Agile/Scrum and tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar.
-
Able to read and communicate in English proficiently.
Nice to have:
-
Experience with multi-platform advertising: Meta/Facebook, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, etc.
-
Experience running or evaluating A/B tests or using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.).
-
Basic technical understanding of APIs, webhooks, and Shopify app architecture.
-
Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment where speed, ownership, and autonomy matter.
